The greatness of Einstein is he was not only a great physicist but also a great philosopher who had deep understanding for what life is about. He once said:
“The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.”
If you believe the world is a friendly place, your life will be full of wonderful things. If on the other hand you believe the world is a hostile place, your life will be filled with hostile events and people.
Even if exactly the same things are happening, whether you focus on the positives or negatives changes your outlook of the world completely. If you focus on good things, lots of good things will happen to you. If you focus on bad things, lots of bad things will happen to you.
This is not a superstition or anything. It can be easily proven by a simple scientific experiment. The experiment goes like this.
“Look around the room where you are right now and find all the red things. Now remember where each red thing s and what shape it is. Now close your eye.” Then with your eyes closed, you are asked to remember where blue things are and what shapes they are. Most people will not remember anything, because they were only focusing on red things.
You get the point? Think of red things as bad things and blue things as good things. If you believe the universe is hostile and focus on nothing but hostile events and people, you will see and remember all hostile things. You will not remember any friendly things or people.
The same goes the other way around. If you believe the universe is friendly and focus on nothing but friendly events and people, you will see nothing but those pleasant, fun, and
